"Surikamigawa Dam" is the source of "Fukushima Water", which has won the highest gold award at the Monde Selection for four consecutive years. Please join us for an activity of kayaking around the lake, which has high water quality and is nurtured by beautiful nature. A kayak is a small boat for one or two people that moves forward with a paddle with blades on both ends. It is a water activity that you can enjoy freely controlling because you sit inside the boat and the center of gravity is low and close to the water surface. Since it is an experience in an artificial dam lake, there is little risk of being swept away, and since motorized boats, fishing, and swimming are prohibited at Surikamigawa Dam, you can enjoy kayaking touring with peace of mind. Of course, the guide will teach you how to ride and paddle, and will accompany you during the tour, so even first-timers and children can participate with peace of mind. The Meiji era playhouse Korakukan is still active and performing live (popular theater and other) for over 115 years. The 2025 performances are as follows: April 23rd to July 27th: "Shitamachi Kabuki Gumi" - Leader Mimine Tooru -> Star actor Shingetsu Kaito -> Star actor Hitomi Hiroshi (Star actor Subaru Toma) - They will perform in rotation for about one month each time. Its most distinctive feature is its blend of Japanese and Western styles, which is rare for a playhouse. Staff dressed in black costumes will guide you through the Korakukan facility. This is a special experience of walking along a beautiful clear stream flowing from the vast beech forest of the Shirakami-Sanchi World Heritage Site. It will be held in the Fujikoto River in Akita Prefecture. The river is so clean that you can see the bottom. You will not meet anyone else during the trek. You can enjoy a sense of privacy. You may encounter birds and fish. A guide will accompany you, so even if you are new to river trekking, you can feel at ease. If it gets hot, you can swim or jump in. Lunch (included in the tour price) is a bento box made with locally grown rice and wild vegetables. You will eat it by the side of the clear stream. It is a day where you can feel the untouched nature with your whole body. On rainy days, you can change to Shirakami Forest trekking. We will guide you on a half-day tour that will lead you into nature both physically and mentally. The meeting place, Nogawa Manabikan, is a 10-minute drive from Nagai City. After checking in and using the restroom, it is another 10-minute drive to the boarding point. As you paddle through the lake surrounded by mountains from the start, multiple waterfalls will bring you the pleasant sound of water and coolness. As you proceed along the waterside that winds left and right while looking at the vibrant broadleaf mountain ranges and rock faces, you will soon arrive at the entrance to Mibuchi Valley. After offering prayers to nature and the gods, you will continue to canoe between the steep granite cliffs, and you will find yourself in a different space that is cut off from the outside world. OGUNI GREEN - Tamagawa Valley Shower Climbing - Baikagi, Oguni Town, Yamagata Prefecture This is an experiential program where you can enjoy authentic water play, "shower climbing," in Tamagawa Valley. What is "shower climbing"? Shower climbing is a perfect summer outdoor activity, allowing you to become one with nature as you ascend mountain streams and waterfalls while being splashed with water. Its thrilling experience, combining elements of mountain climbing and water play, including climbing rocks and jumping into waterfall basins, has made it a popular summer leisure activity for cooling off. This time's field, "Tamagawa Valley," is Tamagawa Valley, a clear stream flowing from the Iide Mountains, located very close to the hot spring facility "Baikagi-so" in Oguni Town. The water flowing through the deep gorge is exceptionally clear, and the refraction of light creates a beautiful "emerald green" spring.
