The beauty of the valleys formed over a long period of time The valleys of the Minakami area are one of Japan's leading canyoning spots! There is a treasure trove of large and small sliding waterfalls, polished by snow and pebbles over a long period of time! The sliding waterfalls are natural water slides, with the maximum slide being about 30m, which is very impressive. You can enjoy the waterfalls with your whole body, sliding down the waterfalls and jumping into the pool. You will wear a wetsuit, a special life jacket, and shoes for walking in streams. Nature Navigator's canyoning tours are held in small groups, so you can enjoy playing at your own pace! In a small conference room, you will experience the basic techniques of calligraphy under the guidance of an instructor. You will finish by creating 1-2 pieces of work that you can display at home. After the calligraphy experience, you will walk around Oyama Shopping Street, which is 1.2 km long and has over 300 shops and restaurants, and have lunch. Transfer to the train and bus to the Akatsuka area. You will visit the Tokyo Great Buddha, Akatsuka Fudo Waterfall, Akatsuka Botanical Garden, Itabashi Museum of Art, Akatsuka Castle Ruins, and Itabashi Local Museum.

This is a 6km walking tour that starts from the north exit of Shimoakatsuka Station on the Tobu Tojo Line and ends at Nishi-Takashimadaira Station on the Toei Mita Line. We will visit Akatsuka Botanical Garden, Tokyo Great Buddha, Akatsuka Fudo Falls, Itabashi Art Museum, Akatsuka Castle Ruins Park, and Itabashi Local Museum. At the botanical garden, you can see beautiful seasonal flowers such as camellias, plums, cherry blossoms, roses, sunflowers, tulips, and cosmos, as well as Japanese gardens, bamboo groves, and recreated forests. The Tokyo Great Buddha is a very large Buddha statue, measuring 13 meters from its pedestal and its head measuring 3 meters. Akatsuka Fudo Falls (a small spring water about 1 meter high) is a place where Shugendo perform purification before training. Itabashi Art Museum (admission fee of about 700 yen is not included in the tour cost), which has themed exhibitions depending on the season, Akatsuka Castle ruins, life from primitive times to the present, and farmhouses built over 100 years ago. We will also take a walk and tour the Itabashi Local Museum where the exhibits are on display. The route from Shimoakatsuka Station to the botanical garden passes through narrow alleys and stairs.

Hinohara Village is the only village on land in Tokyo. Deep inside the village, on a ridge well over 700m above sea level, lies the old house "Kyu Kobayashi Family Residence". Built in the mid-Edo period (more than 320 years ago), this mountain house is literally an "old house in the sky". This tour, which takes you there by mountain monorail that goes straight up a super steep slope of nearly 45 degrees, is an extremely extraordinary experience that will leave a deep impression on your memory, both geographically and historically, as well as physically. The tour meets at the Tokyo Back Mountain Base in front of JR Musashi-Itsukaichi Station, and includes transportation to the site by private car. *Hinohara Village has been designated as a national ecotourism promotion area, and as an exception, transportation to the ecotour site by car is permitted. (Your accompanying guide, Jinken, is a certified eco-tour guide for Hinode Village.) For lunch, you will be served at the Kobayashi Family House, with a lunchbox of light snacks (Cuban sandwiches) made specially for the Tokyo Urayama Base, and coffee brewed with water that participants themselves will have drawn from a special spring in the area. After experiencing the old mountain house, we will move on to another highlight of the day. We will stop at Kanoto Rock, a power spot known only to those in the know, and walk along the valley using chains. Here, too, you can experience a part of the local mountain worship and lifestyle culture. On the way back, we will cross a suspension bridge over the valley just beyond the Akigawa River from the village and enjoy a foot bath at a popular local hot spring. Once your feet are warm, we will head to a local cafe renovated from an old house, recommended by our guide (Jinken). We will take a break at CAFE POUND, the most popular cafe in the area, renovated from a Showa-era house by the owner himself. A private car will pick you up from the station, and you will be accompanied by a Hinode Village certified eco-tour guide. It will be a very fulfilling day where you can experience the lifestyle and culture of a mountain village. This is a premium tour with a capacity of only 6 people. In spring, you can go down the rapids of the Tone River, which is swollen from the melting snow, for over an hour. In summer, you can enjoy the thrill of running through the river along the refreshing valley. There are many things to do, such as diving from rocks and playing in the waves with a paddle or swimming in the river. In autumn, the autumn leaves are in full bloom. The spectacular view of the river flowing down the valley from below is exceptional.
