Kintsugi is a repair technique in which cracks, chips, and other damaged parts of ceramics are glued together with lacquer and decorated with gold and other metal powder. It is also called Kintsukuroi. At our salon, we use simple lacquer instead of real lacquer, and we finish at a reasonable price. Tableware that holds a special meaning can be revived by Kintsugi, and upgraded by applying gold. We accept lessons and orders. The experience location is Minoh City, a city rich in nature in Hokusetsu, Osaka. 20 minutes by train from central Osaka Location: 10 minutes walk from Sakurai Station on the Hankyu Minoh Line, or at the Sakurai Station Cafe (At the cafe, we ask that each person order one drink) If a child of junior high school age or younger participates, a parent or guardian must apply and participate with them. You can freely make your favorite things by hand-bending and making tatara using the hand wheel. You can rest assured that we will give you advice according to what you want to make. It is also possible to take the time to make a particular dish. You can experience it all year round regardless of the weather. After making the shape, let it dry, bake it and give it to you at a later date. It is completed by applying glaze of Kobushi kiln, sea cucumber glaze (blue) or white glaze.
