You can also choose different experiences for each group! ⚫︎Pen making and polishing experience (time required: about 60 minutes) Use a woodworking lathe to polish the shaft of a wooden pen with sandpaper. Each time you polish it, the wood surface becomes smoother and you can create your own original pen while enjoying the changes in the beauty of the wood grain. ⚫︎Pen making and carving experience (time required: about 120 to 180 minutes) Use a woodworking lathe to carve the shaft of a wooden pen with a bit (blade) into your favorite shape. Make a completely original pen while enjoying the beauty of the wood grain. ⚫︎Keychain polishing experience (time required: about 40 minutes) Use a woodworking lathe to polish the shaft of a wooden keychain with sandpaper. You can also stroll along the natural beaches, pick up shells and coral fragments, and make pendants. ～ Flow of the day ～ ① Meet at Jugon no Sato. This is a Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki pottery experience at Heian Gyokuo Touen. It is held on the first floor of Hotel Emion Kyoto in Umekoji, Kyoto, and is open to families, friends, and couples. You will use gosu (a kind of paint used in pottery) and a brush to paint with a Gyokuo Kiln painter. The artisans of the Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki kilns will gently and carefully guide you.
