This is a Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki pottery experience at Heian Gyokuo Touen. It is held on the first floor of Hotel Emion Kyoto in Umekoji, Kyoto, and is open to families, friends, and couples. You will use gosu (a kind of paint used in pottery) and a brush to paint with a Gyokuo Kiln painter. The artisans of the Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki kilns will gently and carefully guide you. AGES BASE is located in the "Okinawa Craft Forest", about 15 minutes by car from Naha Airport. Okinawan wood is turned into an original pen & keychain! Why not experience the fun of "craftsmanship"? You can also choose different experiences for each group! ⚫︎Pen making and polishing experience (time required: about 60 minutes) Use a woodworking lathe to polish the shaft of a wooden pen with sandpaper. Each time you polish it, the wood surface becomes smoother and you can create your own original pen while enjoying the changes in the beauty of the wood grain. ⚫︎Pen making and carving experience (time required: about 120 to 180 minutes) Use a woodworking lathe to carve the shaft of a wooden pen with a bit (blade) into your favorite shape. Make a completely original pen while enjoying the beauty of the wood grain. ⚫︎Keychain polishing experience (time required: about 40 minutes) Use a woodworking lathe to polish the shaft of a wooden keychain with sandpaper. During your free time on your trip, you can make a moss terrarium and take it home! Why not try to create your own unique little moss world in a case? This is a 90-minute plan, but if you would like to make more, you can extend the time by 15 minutes for 300 yen. *The type of moss we provide will vary depending on the season, temperature, and humidity, so we will use 4-5 types of moss that are in good condition on the day, but we cannot specify the type, so we hope you understand this.
