Even if you are a first-time canoeist, you can go canoeing down the Mimi River. It is a wonderful field that is hard to find even in Japan. The guide will ride in a separate canoe from the customer, and you will be the only one to steer the canoe and leisurely go down through the wetlands where there are many waterfowl. During the tour, you can learn about the history of the Mimi River and the Ainu, and other stories unique to this area, while canoeing and learning from the guide. The field is near New Chitose Airport, and the Mimi River can be seen from the sky when planes take off and land. This is a recommended tour that is perfect for a honeymoon or family trip that you can remember every time you visit Hokkaido in the future. "The tour was fun, but we don't have any photos!!" "We came together, but we don't have any photos of the two of us!!" During the tour, we will give away photos taken with a single-lens reflex camera to anyone who wants them. [Tour Recommendations 1.2.3] ① The river flows slowly, and even at its deepest, it is only about waist-deep for adults, so it is a very shallow river, so you can rest assured. You will not be sharing the canoe. ② There are surprisingly few travel photos! ! Gateway Tours will give you digital photos of your tour! You cannot take photos of yourself in a canoe from inside the canoe. Photos taken in a canoe are memories that will last a lifetime. This service is only available at Gateway Tours! It's worth participating just for the photos. ③You can rest assured that your guide is an outdoor master guide certified by the Hokkaido Prefectural Governor, and also has other guide qualifications, rescue qualifications, and first aid qualifications. *If you are participating with your family or alone, please apply from another plan. https://activityjapan.com/search/?addressAndKeyword=Gateway+Tours

This is a plan limited to Douminwari (Hokkaido residents discount). In this day and age, everything is increasing in price. Hotel rates and activity tours are also increasing in price. It has become difficult for Hokkaido residents to travel to Hokkaido. We hope that customers in Hokkaido will learn about the good things about Hokkaido, so we will offer a price that is easy to participate in (up to 33% discount). (Example) For two adults, the usual price of 15,000 yen is 11,000 yen, a 4,000 yen discount. For two adults and two elementary school students, the usual price of 22,000 yen is 17,000 yen, a 5,000 yen discount. *Please show your identification on the day of the event, or live in Hokkaido. If you live outside of Hokkaido but attend a school or company in Hokkaido, we will apply if you have proof of identity. Even if you are a customer who is canoeing for the first time, you can go down the river right away on the Mimi River. It is a wonderful field that is hard to find even in Japan. The guide will ride in a separate canoe from the guests, and the guests will be the only ones who will be steering the canoe, leisurely descending through the wetlands where there are many waterfowl. During the tour, the guide will tell you about the history of the Mimi River and the Ainu, as well as stories unique to this area, and you will be able to experience canoeing while learning as well as canoeing. "The tour was fun, but I don't have any photos!!" "I came all the way here, but I don't have any photos!!" During the tour, we will give away photos taken with a single-lens reflex camera to those who request them for free. [Recommended] ① The river flows slowly, and even at its deepest, it is only about waist-deep for adults, so it is a very shallow river, so it is safe for children. ② There are surprisingly few travel photos!! Gateway Tours will give you digital photos of the tour taken with a single-lens reflex camera!! You cannot take photos of yourself in a canoe from inside the canoe. Tour photos of you on a canoe will be a lifelong memory! This service is only available at Gateway Tours! It is worth participating just for the photos. ③ The guide is a Hokkaido Governor-certified outdoor master guide, and has other guide qualifications, rescue qualifications, and first aid qualifications, so you can rest assured. We also have staff who hold childcare qualifications. *You can rent one or two canoes and everyone can ride together without worrying about other customers. *Families with large numbers of people or especially large parents or children may be asked to board two boats.

To be honest, it is difficult to find a place to take an activity tour by yourself. Gateway Tours can only accept one person per tour. (This is not a private tour as it is held at the same time as other tours.) It is many times more difficult to operate a Canadian canoe by yourself than it is to operate it with two people. For this reason, you will basically ride in the guide's canoe. The benefits are that you can leisurely go down the river, take photos and videos with your own camera, ask the guide various questions, and listen carefully to the stories of the field. Also, depending on the conditions on the day (mainly the wind direction), you can try a single-seater canoe in a separate boat from the guide. During the tour, you can learn about the history of the Mimi River and the Ainu, and stories unique to this area from the guide, and of course you can canoe while learning. The field is near New Chitose Airport and there is a free shuttle, so many people use it at the beginning or end of their trip, or during their free time on a business trip to Hokkaido. During the tour, we will give you free photos taken with a single-lens reflex camera to those who wish. [Recommended] ① You can participate by one person! ! ②Surprisingly few travel photos!! Gateway Tours will give you digital photos of your tour taken with a single-lens reflex camera!! Canoeing photos are lifelong memories. This service is only available at Gateway Tours! [Chitose River Cruise] It's about a 20-minute drive from New Chitose Airport, and you'll be surprised to see such rich nature in such a place... The Chitose River makes you think so. You'll go down with a guide while watching the fish peeking out of the crystal clear water and the small birds flying through the trees. We'll talk about a lot of things, such as Hokkaido's wildlife and vegetation, Ainu culture, and the history of development, while enjoying the breeze of nature. [Short course only available in winter] Chitose in winter is below freezing even during the day! It's extremely cold, but there are many beauties that can only be seen in such a harsh environment. The course is a canoe tour of about 2.5 kilometers from under the highway overpass that runs through the town of Chitose to the area near the Chitose City Sports Center! The snowy scenery spreads out on the riverbank with a good view, and wild deer gather along the quiet river, and you can see salmon running upstream, which is becoming a symbol of the Chitose River, until around February! The experience lasts 30 to 40 minutes, and it takes about an hour from meeting to disbanding. *The tour may vary depending on the weather and river conditions on the day. *Most tours are conducted below freezing, so please take proper cold weather precautions. *Safety is our number one priority, so the tour may be canceled due to weather or other reasons. Please note this in advance. *The boat will be boarded at a slight incline, so you will need to have a certain level of physical ability that does not interfere with your daily life. *If you would like to participate with 3 or more people, the tour will be by boat. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Everything you need is free to rent, so you can come empty-handed! This canoe tour is perfect for anything you want. Lake Poroto is a place where people have lived together as part of nature since ancient times. Although it is a small lake with a circumference of about 4 kilometers, it is a very rich lake packed with waterside nature such as forests, marshes, sand, swamps, and rivers. Take a leisurely canoe ride around Lake Poroto while listening to all about its nature, culture, and history! This is the plan. Lake Poroto is rich in nutrients brought from the mountains, and is home to many birds, fish, and animals, or where they visit in search of food. The scenery also changes drastically with each season, with skunk cabbage in spring, water lilies in summer, autumn leaves, and snow-covered snow in winter, so visitors never get bored. For those who want to leave the navigation to the guide and enjoy the lake at their own pace, we have not only Canadian canoes, but also air canoes with double paddles for those who want to paddle themselves! The meeting point is within walking distance of Upopoy, so it is very accessible! Why not enjoy Hokkaido's nature to your heart's content?

Smelt fishing that feels like a fishing pond near Ishikari Bay New Port, which is close to Sapporo city. If you want to catch smelt, but the ice has not frozen yet, or if the ice has melted, we recommend this option for those who just want to enjoy fishing, or those who just want to catch a fish. The seawall is well maintained and you can enjoy it as if you were at a fishing pond. The location of smelt changes depending on the weather, and if your hunch is right, you may catch up to 40 smelt in an hour. Why not try fishing during the recommended time? Basically, you can take your catch home, but if you really want to try it as tempura, please contact us. On your way home after fishing, please stop by tourist facilities and scenic spots to enjoy a fulfilling day. *Free transportation is available from hotels in the center of Sapporo, such as in front of Sapporo Station.
