Generally, Japanese macaques are said to be aggressive creatures that value hierarchy, with the boss monkey at the center. However, the wild Japanese macaques that come to the Awaji Monkey Center are seen to behave in a gentle manner, supporting weaker monkeys. These monkeys are called "Awaji Monkeys." This is a healing experience, where you can listen to the center staff talk about the ecology of the monkeys that live in a gentle society, learn about the Awaji monkeys, and feed and observe them. This is the only place where you can take a commemorative photo of yourself surrounded by monkeys! The Japanese macaques that come to the Awaji Island Monkey Center live in groups of about 350. These wild Japanese macaques come from the mountains around 9am, spend the day near the feeding area, and return to the mountains in the evening. The monkeys here are very docile and gentle, with a high level of tolerance, and this characteristic is very rare, so they are called "Awaji Monkeys." After listening to a talk by the staff who run the center about the characteristics of the Awaji monkeys and how to be the leader of this group, you need to be kind as well as strong, you can enter a building specifically for feeding and feed the monkeys outside, a unique feeding experience. (Additional fee: 200 yen per time) You can take a commemorative photo in the middle of a group of monkeys thanks to the feeding points of the center staff and the kindness of the Awaji monkeys, and you can't experience this unless you come here. If you scatter food in the shape of letters, the monkeys that eat the food will also form the letters, a unique sight that only the monkeys here can see. (A panel is posted on site) If you want to observe the Awaji monkeys to your heart's content, you can enter the park before the experience time.

This is a mine tour and nature experience tour in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, on a buggy. This tour will take you around the vast 250,000 square meter mine in a new buggy introduced in February 2025. You can enjoy the highlights of the mine, the rocks that are collected, and the native plants. This may be the only "extraordinary space" that active families and couples can enjoy in Japan. Legacy and Innovation ~ Continuation and Challenge ~ With the SDGs and carbon neutrality being called for, it is not unreasonable to see mines as environmental destroyers. However, our company, which is engaged in mountain regeneration, opens the mountain during the closed period and wants people to know the current situation and efforts. With that in mind, we have implemented various efforts. Our mine mines mine raw materials and develop quarries for pottery, tiles, concrete materials, and landscaping. The role of mines has changed with the times. However, this place still has stories to be passed down and hidden charms. This may be the only experience in the country where you can feel the breath of the mine again and experience its history. As more and more mines are closing, we are taking on the challenge of bringing new light to the area. This means continuing to run with respect for the past and hope for the future. We will weave a new story about the mine together with the buggy. Mount Hoki Daisen is a mountain of mountain worship. Long ago, when it was called Ogami-dake, only selected ascetics could reach the summit once a year on a full moon night to carry out a religious ritual and bring back holy water and medicinal herbs, and it was also a place for Shugendo practice known as Misen Zenjo. This full moon night luminous climb is an attempt to try and put into practice the experience of that time in the modern day. In the 2025 season, it will be held on the full moons of July, August and September. July 9th, late night departure at 11pm, scheduled to end at 8am to 9am on the 10th August 11th, late night departure at 11:45pm, scheduled to end at 8:30am to 9:30am on the 12th (August will not be held on the full moon, but will be changed to a starlit night climb to coincide with the peak day of the Perseid meteor shower) September 7th, late night departure at 1am, scheduled to end at 9:30am to 10:30am on the same day.
