Plan description

The Hyogo/Harima region is blessed with rich nature and is rich in ingredients made from beautiful water. This tour will include a tour of the production of "Ibonoito" hand-stretched somen, a specialty product unique to this region with a history of over 600 years, and a visit to "Oimatsu Sake Brewery", a sake brewery in Shiso, which is said to be the birthplace of Japanese sake. You can enjoy lunch and experience Japanese food culture at the dining room.

Ibonoito Museum “Somen no Sato” tour and comparison tasting of somen noodles

Observe the manufacturing process of handmade Ibo-no-ito, a traditional industry in the Nishi-Harima area. ``Ibo no Ito'' is a type of hand-rolled somen that originated in the Banshu region and is made by craftsmen using a traditional hand-rolling method that has been passed down for 600 years. Made from carefully selected wheat and Ako salt, it has a smooth and chewy texture. Participants will also experience the process of dividing somen noodles into small portions, and compare the tastes of somen noodles.

Experience Japanese food culture through lunch at "Oimatsu Dining" operated by Shiso's sake brewery "Oimatsu Sake Brewery"

In the Harima area, which is rich in nature, there are other foods and specialty products made from beautiful water. Enjoy a Japanese food culture experience through lunch at Oimatsu Dining, run by Oimatsu Sake Brewery in Shiso, which is said to be the birthplace of Japanese sake. The lunch menu will be based on fermentation, a part of Japanese food culture unique to sake breweries. Ibo no Ito, which we will tour this time, is also included in the menu, so you can learn about the Japanese food culture of fermentation and Harima's food culture while enjoying a delicious lunch. Enjoy the atmospheric interior of a renovated sake brewery, Oimatsu Sake Brewery's proud sake and seasonings, Japanese fermented foods, and Japanese food served with sake.
