A swordsmith will teach you how to make Japanese knives using blacksmith techniques. Using the same material as Japanese swords, Tamahagane, the forged iron is shaped with a hammer. You can make your own clay holder and add a blade crest. Attach the blade, cut your name on it, and sharpen it to complete it. Although it is a physically demanding job, the swordsmith will be happy to assist you, so don't worry if you are not confident in doing the heavy lifting, such as children or women. You can take photos and videos while working! The trial fee is for one Japanese knife. You can also make one book for two or more people. In that case, please let us know how many people will be participating in the experience when making a reservation. If you are making a reservation for three or more, it will take a little longer. Please arrive with plenty of time to spare before the closing time. We may be able to move the start time forward, so please contact us.

Iron is a human invention. People have walked with iron, as it is said, "Whoever controls iron controls the world." A Japanese sword cannot be made good unless it is made of iron using the traditional ironmaking method. With this plan, you can experience making iron from iron sand using the traditional iron-making method. Repeat the work of cutting charcoal into small pieces and adding iron sand to determine the "steel" part from the finished lump "kera". You can take the finished product home with you. ★We have someone here who can explain things in English, so you don't need an interpreter.

Japanese swords are works of art made of iron. By listening to the explanation of the production process of this work of art that has been handed down since ancient times, you will be able to understand the highlights of swords and the points to appreciate them. You can also observe the forging process (the process of stretching, bending, and gluing steel), which is one of the processes of making Japanese swords. Please take a photo of the sparks. The moment when the sparks fly is only for a moment. It may be difficult to show the process again, so please do not miss it. We recommend the video. In addition, you can experience using a large hammer to strike the iron. We will also accept questions such as why Japanese swords become such hard and strong blades, and why the price differs! This is a two-day, one-night taxi tour where you can receive direct instruction from swordsmith Shohei Fujiyasu, observe the appreciation of Japanese swords, observe the forging process (preparing the base for Japanese swords), and experience hammering and copper plate inscription. Through the tour, you will learn about the beauty and spirit that resides in Japanese swords. After staying overnight at the famous Iizaka Onsen hot spring in Fukushima City, on the second day, you will be taken to a Japanese lunch using Fukushima City's specialties and Nakano Fudoson, one of the three Fudoson in Japan.
