This is a two-day, one-night taxi tour where you can receive direct instruction from swordsmith Shohei Fujiyasu, observe the appreciation of Japanese swords, observe the forging process (preparing the base for Japanese swords), and experience hammering and copper plate inscription. Through the tour, you will learn about the beauty and spirit that resides in Japanese swords. After staying overnight at the famous Iizaka Onsen hot spring in Fukushima City, on the second day, you will be taken to a Japanese lunch using Fukushima City's specialties and Nakano Fudoson, one of the three Fudoson in Japan.
In addition to appreciating Japanese swords, you can also learn about forging, which is an important element in making Japanese swords (making the base of a Japanese sword = heating the iron material = tamahagane on a fire pit, and then hammering it with a hammer. You can observe the process of hammering and carving letters on a copper plate yourself.
On the second day, in addition to touring Fukushima City's sake breweries, you can fully enjoy the charms of Fukushima City by enjoying a Japanese lunch using the city's specialty yuzu miso, visiting Nakano Fudoson, one of Japan's three most famous Fudoson temples, and Roadside Station Fukushima, which opened in spring 2022.
An interpreter guide (English) will accompany you during the experience and taxi ride.

You can learn directly from swordsmith Shohei Fujiyasu! Mr. Fujiyasu is a swordsmith who performs dedication training at famous shrines in Japan (Gokoku Shrine, Yasukuni Shrine, Atsuta Shrine, Kashima Shrine, etc.). You can learn about the beauty and spirit of Japanese swords directly from the swordsmith.
You can experience hammering and copper plate name cutting! You will experience hammering and writing on copper plates, which are part of the process of making Japanese swords. You can take home the finished copper plate name cut as a souvenir.
Famous Iizaka Onsen Stay at the "Surikamitei Ootori" in Iizaka Onsen. Enjoy the famous hot springs and local cuisine made with ingredients from Fukushima.

Q. Would love to do a one-day knife-making or sword-making experience for four persons on January 4 or 5. Can you make that happen?
A. Thank you for your inquiry. We are unable to offer the sword making experience on January 4th and 5th. The reason is that the sword making experience cannot be completed in one day, but takes three days. Furthermore, we have other plans on January 4th and 5th. Currently, we are only selling the package shown. Thank you for your understanding.
