The second most popular tour is the upstream tour. You can encounter beautiful aquatic creatures in the spring water upstream. This is a bicycle tour around rice fields, spring water points, and upstream. Please note that this tour is limited to electric three-seater bicycles, so only those who can ride a bicycle can participate. The targets are river crabs, loaches, crayfish, four types of dragonfly nymphs, mitten crabs, chichibu, minnows, moroko, and carp. This tour involves cycling around the spring water repeatedly. On the day, gather at the meeting point and rent a Panasonic electric bicycle (with front and rear child seats, 20-inch and 24-inch MTBs are available for upper elementary school students) (free of charge). Put on gloves and go through the grass and turn over stones to catch fish and crayfish. Spring water and cold water points do not move, so you can catch them with your bare hands. The main targets for capture are turtles, frogs, catfish, Japanese mitten crabs, striped shrimp, Yamato swamp shrimp, American crayfish, Ukigoi, Chichibu, loach, Moroko, Motsugo, Japanese river snail, Taiwanese clam, dragonfly nymph, and river insects. Many creatures live behind the stones and many hide underneath, so turn over lots of stones to see them. Winter observations are easier to observe.
