In a small conference room, you will experience the basic techniques of calligraphy under the guidance of an instructor. You will finish by creating 1-2 pieces of work that you can display at home. After the calligraphy experience, you will walk around Oyama Shopping Street, which is 1.2 km long and has over 300 shops and restaurants, and have lunch. Transfer to the train and bus to the Akatsuka area. You will visit the Tokyo Great Buddha, Akatsuka Fudo Waterfall, Akatsuka Botanical Garden, Itabashi Museum of Art, Akatsuka Castle Ruins, and Itabashi Local Museum.
This was probably the best workshop we attended during our Japan trip! Very good Calligraphy explanations, the instructor is highly professional, and really takes time to demonstrate in great detail! So the Calligraphy class in itself it was already an amazing experience. However, afterwards you go to see the Tokyo Great Buddha (and museums & gardens) and can experience Japanese culture with interesting conversations and information about the surrounding area. Both instructors are very kind, very passionate and just pleasant people in general :)

Would you like to experience the charm of Asakusa with a shrine maiden? On this unique tour, a former professional shrine maiden will welcome you as your guide, introducing you to the rich history and culture of Asakusa Shrine while telling you about hidden spots and interesting facts. In addition to experiencing history and culture, this tour also allows you to enjoy the shrine maiden dance experience. Shrine maiden dance is passed down from generation to generation by shrine maidens at the shrine. Shrine maiden dance is often performed at Shinto rituals and Shinto ceremonies, so I think many people have never seen it. Originally, it was said that the gods descended to the shrine maidens who danced the shrine maiden dance and gave them divine guidance. In other words, by dancing the shrine maiden dance, you can become one with the gods and nature. And shrine maiden dance is full of the "feeling of reverence for the gods" and "beautiful etiquette" that the ancient Japanese have always cherished. For both Japanese and foreigners, it will be an opportunity to experience Japan's beautiful culture and learn about the spirituality that the Japanese have cherished.

Neriko is a black pill-shaped incense that was widely used during the Heian period. In The Tale of Genji, there is a scene in which Hikaru Genji, Murasaki no Ue, and other characters are actually created and evaluated, and it is still known as one of the Six Kinds of Kaorumono. It is also used in front of the charcoal in winter during tea ceremonies. Nerika is not something to be used at room temperature, but rather to be warmed to enjoy its aroma. We placed lit charcoal in an incense burner filled with ashes, placed incense sticks on top of the warmed ashes, and enjoyed the scent that wafted through the air. Enjoy the relaxing time and space as the charcoal warms the ashes, along with the scent. It is also recommended before welcoming guests.
