■Those taking the Onomichi Course will head directly to Okunoshima from downtown Onomichi. The round trip to Okunoshima is a refreshing high-speed boat ride, making this an adventure cruise where you can enjoy both the travel time and the attractions. ■Those taking the Setoda Course will board at Setoda Port and head straight to Okunoshima, a place both close and far away! You can also enjoy a tour of the nostalgic and photogenic historical ruins, as well as various experiences* at the visitor center and vacation village. *If you wish to participate in on-island activities, you will need to make a separate reservation. ■Strictly Observe Okunoshima's "Basic Rules" 1. Everyone must take their trash with them. (There are no trash cans on the island.) 2. Do not leave food behind, and do not leave food unattended. (Leaving food behind can lead to rabbits being attacked by wild boars and rats.) 3. Do not chase or hold rabbits. (They may die from stress.) 4. Do not bring pets. Do not take rabbits off the island. (There is a risk of attacking rabbits.) ■ Points of Interest Onomichi Strait: Experience the history of Onomichi from ancient times to the present day at places like Senkoji Temple, Jodoji Temple, Onomichi Bridge, and Mukojima Dock. Innoshima Bridge: Enjoy the beautiful design of this suspension bridge, a representative of the Shimanami Kaido. Ohamazaki Lighthouse: A facility that supports navigation in the Seto Inland Sea and is registered as an Important Cultural Property of Japan. A great spot for commemorative photos. Kame-no-Kubi Jizo: A spot where legend has it that, long ago, when the whole village was troubled by a giant turtle that kept attacking ships, a brave young monk came to the rescue. The Turtle Tower is worth taking photos of from the sea! Okunoshima: Rabbit Island with a beautiful lighthouse visible from the pier. Enjoy other photogenic spots as well. Itsukushima Shrine: Visit a shrine on Iwako Island that is older than Miyajima by sea. Yurugiiwa: A strangely shaped rock formation designated as a natural monument of Onomichi City.
