At the age of 7, he made his debut as Matsumushi in the Kabukiza play Maizuru Setsugekka under his real name Okamura Kensuke. At the age of 12, he took on the name Onoe Ukon II in roles such as Chobei's daughter Okusa in Ninjyoban Bunshichi Motoyui at the Shinbashi Enbujo. He took on the stage name Kiyomoto Eijudayu in January 2018.
