This 70-year-old Japanese house remains in Sumiyoshi Nagai, a downtown area of Osaka. Entering the Japanese-style room with tatami mats and shoji screens, taking off your shoes and sitting on the tatami mats, you will feel as if you have been invited into a Japanese home. In a space enveloped in the warmth of wood, you can grill your own takoyaki, Osaka's soul food, and experience the fusion of "Japanese everyday life" and food culture that you cannot find at temples, shrines or hotels in tourist areas.
We've carefully selected domestic seasonings, including octopus from Akashi, wheat flour from Hokkaido, and soy sauce, which has been designated a national tangible cultural property.
Through repeated and thorough trial and error, we've pursued the perfect flavor.
This experience will further refine the authentic Osaka flavor, allowing you to experience a "memorable deliciousness" that can only be experienced here.
At Tako no Ma, you can make takoyaki twice. The first time, you'll feel the excitement of pouring the batter and adding the ingredients. When you flip it over, you might hear laughter as you exclaim, "Oh, it's fallen apart!" The second time, your hands will gradually get used to it, and you'll hear cheers of "It's round now!" Children will be engrossed, and adults will revert to their childhood and become serious. You'll enjoy a special time surrounded by piping hot takoyaki, with smiles naturally spilling out of your face.

Plan attractions
Authentic takoyaki made with fresh octopus from the famous Akashi region (if you choose the basic option) They use fresh octopus sourced from Akashi, Hyogo Prefecture, one of Japan's leading octopus-producing areas. The plump texture and rich flavor are wrapped in a batter that is crispy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside. Made with carefully selected domestic ingredients and a unique recipe, these are special takoyaki that can only be enjoyed here.
Luxurious takoyaki made with Japanese Black beef tendon (if beef tendon is selected) The flavorful tendon meat of domestically raised Japanese Black Beef is seasoned with a subtle hint of ginger. Enjoy the moderate chewiness and rich flavor, and when combined with the dough, the rich flavor spreads with every bite. It's a luxurious taste that you'll never forget once you've tried it.
Tomato balls packed with the delicious flavor of vegetables (if vegetarian option selected) This special vegetarian takoyaki is made with a combination of dried tomatoes from Kumamoto Prefecture, as well as domestic shiitake mushrooms and bell peppers.
A special time to enjoy in a 70-year-old traditional Japanese house The warmth of the wood and the traditional fittings create a calming atmosphere that is typical of Japan. You'll feel as if you've been invited into a home, and you'll have a relaxing time. The tatami rooms and cooking scenes are all photogenic, making this the perfect experience to create some memorable memories of your trip.
A special moment spent in a tatami room The experience takes place in a tatami room. Surrounded by shoji screens and a tokonoma alcove, you sit on the floor instead of chairs to enjoy your meal, making this a valuable experience that gives you a feel for the everyday life of a Japanese home. The appeal is that you can not only enjoy the food, but also experience the "culture of life." (Chairs are provided.)
"A special moment to end with Uji tea and Japanese sweets" At the end of the experience, you will be served tea from Uji, Kyoto, and seasonal Japanese sweets. Refresh your palate with the fragrant Uji tea, then take a break with a Japanese sweet treat. This is a special time where you can enjoy not only takoyaki, but also Japanese food culture with all five senses.
A maximum of 4 people, so you can relax and feel safe. The experience is limited to small groups, so each person can take their time and enjoy the experience. Another appeal is that you can enjoy it in a relaxed atmosphere.
