Board a high-speed boat (RIB) from Onomichi and enjoy attractions like the Seto Inland Sea islands, a tornado turn, and a sea pilgrimage to Itsukishima Shrine. Then, enjoy local ingredients at Utsumi Shokudo, an oyster restaurant. After your meal, visit Abuto Kannon from the sea. Experience the luxury of a high-speed boat trip for lunch. Feel like a pirate as you savory the local delicacies from the sea with friends, family, and colleagues. Experience the simple flavors of Utsumi Shokudo's oysters, clams, pork, vegetables, and seaweed, all made with local specialties from Uchiumicho, Fukuyama City. Oysters are available year-round. For those who don't like raw oysters, you can opt for grilled oysters. For the "Kamameshi" course, choose from oysters, clams, sea bream, or octopus at check-in on the day of departure. You can also order other items besides the course menu that you might want to try (such as limited-quantity nori ramen). (The cost is at your own expense.)
"SUIGUN RIB TOURS" uses a high-speed boat "RIB" with a maximum speed of 80km/h (45 knots). It is the first adventure boat tour to experience Onomichi's culture and nature from the sea. Itsukishima Shrine The large torii gate and stone lanterns that can be accessed from the sea are well worth seeing. Itsukishima Daimyojin is a deity that combines three gods: a goddess, her husband, and their child. Visit to pray for safety at sea, as well as for marriage and children. As many people are involved in the maritime business, worship from the sea is common, and the nameplate on the seaward side of the torii gate is engraved with the principal deity, "Itsukishima Shrine," while the landward side is engraved with the common name, "Itsukushima Shrine," making it a rare sight among Japan's 700 Itsukushima shrines. This shows the strong feelings that seafarers have for the principal deity, "Itsukishima Daimyojin."
