For the people of Kumamoto, the summer festival is the "Hinokuni Festival"! Why not jump into the biggest local event that colors the summer of Kumamoto and gets the citizens excited? Among the more than 50 participating groups, the "Hinokuni Joka Otemoyantai", which was newly added in 2025, is a team formed mainly by tourists who want to feel the hot summer of Kumamoto. Let's make lifelong memories with friends that you can only meet here through the festival! In addition to the team T-shirt that strengthens the sense of unity as a dancer, there are plenty of benefits. This plan allows you to enjoy plenty of things other than the Hinokuni Festival, such as a joint ticket for both "Kumamoto Castle" and "Kumamoto Castle Museum Wakuwakuza", a 500 yen coupon that can be used at "Sabo Sakuranzaka" in the tourist area "Sakura no Baba Josaien" that reproduces the castle town, and a set of Kumamoto souvenirs that will be a memento of your trip.
You will be given a "Hi no Kuni Joka Otemoyantai" team T-shirt on the day. There will also be dance practice, so even first-timers can participate with confidence. Join the Hinokuni Festival, which colors the summer in Kumamoto, and make lifelong memories with friends you can only meet here.
Before the festival, enjoy sightseeing at Kumamoto Castle, one of the three most famous castles in Japan. The festival venue is located right next to the castle.

| Matters require attention | ・The temperature is expected to be high on the day, so please take measures to prevent heatstroke. ・We cannot store luggage, so we recommend that you bring a small shoulder bag or similar to make it easier to move around. ・Please present your ticket (which will be sent to you in advance as an attachment to a message) to a staff member between 15:00 and 17:00 on the day of the event to complete the reception. If you do not arrive within the time limit, your reservation will be canceled without notice. ・T-shirts are only available in adult sizes. ・The Kumamoto Castle Special Opening and Wakuwakuza admission set ticket and the 500 yen coupon for the Josaien cafe are only valid on the day (8/2). ・Due to bad weather, it may not be possible to enter Kumamoto Castle at your preferred time. In such cases, no refunds will be given. ・At Sakuranzaka, if you are unable to sit down due to crowding inside the store, we can provide you with a takeout format. ・There is no change for the 500 yen coupon (the difference over 500 yen will be paid by the customer) |

Sightseeing at Kumamoto Castle After exchanging your admission tickets for Kumamoto Castle and Wakuwakuza, you can enjoy sightseeing at Kumamoto Castle until the meeting time for the festival. Reception at Josaien Tourist Information Center You will receive a team T-shirt and a set of Kumamoto specialty products. [Reception hours] 15:00-17:00
Meet in front of Sears Home Yume Hall at Civic Hall After practicing at the Sears Home Yume Hall in the Civic Hall, participants will move to their respective positions.
Otemoyan Dance begins Part 1 (45 minutes) → Part 2 (30 minutes) → Finale (5 minutes)
After the event, the group disbands on the spot. Thank you for your hard work!
