Sorry for the wait! We are now accepting reservations for the popular summer activity "Keikoku Donburako in Hinohara Village"! Go down the river in a giant truck tube in Hinohara Village, the upper reaches of Akigawa Valley, "Tokyo's last pure river". Once you experience it, you will never forget it, and you will have the best summer memories in Hinohara Village! This year, it will be held for a limited time of 10 days. First come, first served! "Keikoku Donburako" is a popular summer content of Hinohara Village Eco Tour, which recreates the classic summer play of children in Hinohara Village in the past. If you go down the river in a large tube that was once actually used for a large truck tire, you can enjoy a special view looking up at the sky from the bottom of the valley and a special river play experience in Akigawa Valley, Tokyo's last pure river, returning to your childhood. Go down the river, dive, gorge chairing, and freshly boiled potatoes, a specialty of the village. Before starting your journey down the river, your guide will give you a lecture on the precautions to take when playing in the river and how to ride the tube. Afterwards, you'll cross a suspension bridge holding the large tube and head upstream with excitement! As you head to the starting point, you'll listen to an eco-tour guide's unique commentary on the topography, history, lifestyle, and culture of Hinode Village. The river boat ride will take you through points where the river flows slowly and points with small rapids, and you'll be surrounded by the beauty of the valley that can't be seen from the road, giving you an extraordinary feeling. Along the way, you can enjoy diving off the rocks on the riverbank and taking photos from the valley floor that can only be taken from here, making for a special experience.

When you return to the meeting point, you can place a chair in the flowing river where the sunlight shines through the trees, and relax with your feet in the water. This is the ideal situation to enjoy the currently popular "valley chairing" experience. (You can take some great photos!)

What's more, you will also receive a free sample of freshly boiled "Hinojaga" potatoes, a specialty of Hinohara Village, with plenty of soy sauce and mayonnaise! (Hinohara Village has little flat land and many sloped fields with good drainage, which is why it is famous for its delicious potatoes.)
