Learn more about kimono in this exclusive experienceMy service is for anyone who wants to know more about kimono and how to wear an authentic one by themselves. Have a wonderful time experiencing this in the country side west of downtown Tokyo, in Hino City. This is a class held at a home in Hino City, a suburb of Tokyo, where you don't just get dressed in a kimono, but you try putting it on yourself. There is a lot to learn by actually doing it while listening to a simple explanation of kimono, such as what is used and in what order to wear it. Everything you need is provided. Please come and experience it. ～Flow of the experience～9:50 Meeting10:00 Arrive at the venue. Explain the flow of the day. (Short break)10:20 Choosing a kimonochoose what they want to wear on the day of the event from the kimonos prepared in advance.10:30 lesson start12:00 End of lesson After the lesson, after taking pictures of each person and spending time with them, we took a short break and dismissed when all the mini-courses (optional) on how to use furoshiki were over.

About Kimono

I will provide an explanation about kimono, so you will know what you are wearing. All the kimonos in my collection were hand-picked and purchased by me. Not all but many kimonos are made of silk.

Japanese culture

This cultural experience will take place at my house in a traditional tatami room.After lesson, we will enjoy tea time with Japanese sweets.(Dorayaki, Manju or Karintou etc)If you wish, I can also arrange Shodou lesson.(Charge is required)As this is an experience session in a tatami room in a private home, I think that overseas guests will be pleased.After the lesson, we will treat you to traditional Japanese sweets such as Dorayaki, dango, manju, and karintou.

Some items were donated by friends, and they all have history and weren't mass-produced .Not all but many kimonos are made of silk. I want you to feel the texture of Japanese silk.

Furoshiki lesson Family and friends of participants who only observe the kimono lesson and do not participate in it can join to Furoshiki lesson, and you will receive a Furoshiki as a present.

Activities after the lesson If you come early, you can explore the west side of Tokyo (for example, Takahata-fudouson Kongoji Temple, Tama Zoo, Mt. Takao, etc.) after this program.

Assembly point

Please meet me at the ticket gate of Takahata Fudo Station on the Keio Line. If you want to come by yourself, I'll pick you up at Tokyo, Hino, Manganji, 6-chōme261. If you come by yourself, I will contact you separately.

I will bring a paper written "Kimono Lesson" to the gate. After I pick you up at Takahatafudo station, I will take you to my house by walk (12 min.) or by car (5 min.).
