In this masterclass you will learn about 3 types of swordsmanship: Iaido, kendo and batto.
Iaido teaches a skill of handling swords, kendo teaches timing and targeting the opponent, and batto teaches cutting techniques.
~ Flow of the day ~
① Get dressed (10 minutes)
② Lecture about swords (20 minutes)
③ Iai lesson (20 minutes)
④ Kendo lesson (30 minutes)
⑤ Batto (tameshigiri) (30 minutes)
⑥ A certificate of completion (5 minutes)
⑦ Change clothes (5 minutes)
私は全日本戸山流居合道連盟の本部道場で師範代、また流鏑馬（やぶさめ）の師範代をしています。
この体験はエンターテイメントでも大道芸でもありません。
本物の剣術やスピリットを教えます。
正しい方法で体験したい人、本物を勉強したい人はぜひ参加して下さい。
居合・剣道（撃剣）・抜刀の3分野の初級を体験できます。体験前には講義をして刀に関する理解を深めます。居合では模擬刀を使い刀の抜き方・納め方を学び、撃剣では日本刀の反りや鎬の使い方を木刀を使って実践します。その後、撃剣竹刀により模擬試合を行います。抜刀では真剣を使って1人2本、実際に巻きワラを斬って日本刀の斬れ味を体験します。写真撮影はいつでも可能です。
この体験を修了された方には戸山流備前会の修了証を発行します。半分は日本語で半分は英語にて表記されています。

Guest user真剣本格剣術体験
動画で見ると簡単そうにこなしていたので、自分もできるかと思っていたのですが、意外と難しい。
どこがダメでどういう風に直したらよいかを教示いただいて、スパッと切れるようになりました。
彼女のほうがキレイにスパッと切れていたので次回リベンジしたいと思います。
実戦形式の撃剣は、刀の使い方を学び試すことが出来ましたが、学んだことに体がついていかず、難しさを体感しました。。。
師範は気さくで雰囲気もよく気持ちよく学ぶことが出来ました。

前日の夜に予約をすることができるので、思い立ったら体験することができると思います。
今回は私一人で参加したので、一対一での指導を受けることができました。2時間という短い時間ではありましたが、その中でも多少の成長があり、良い指導であったのだと思います。
また、刀そのものの面白さもありました。この面白さは、ぜひこのレビューを読んでいるご自身で体験していただきたいと思います。
緊張することもありましたが、とにかく行ってみるとよいと思います。

武道に興味があって、妻を誘って参加しました。全くの素人で少々緊張して伺ったのですが、住田先生がとても気さくな楽しい方で本当に優しく丁寧に教えて頂き、あっという間の2時間でした。真剣を握った時、振り下ろす時の緊張感と巻藁がスパッと斬れた時の感触は、非日常的なとても特別な体験でした。少しでも興味がある方には是非お薦めしたいです。ありがとうございました。
