Plan description

Located in the center of Kumamoto Prefecture, Misato Town is known as the town of stone bridges. This river trekking experience will take you to the goal while playing in the river, such as floating and diving, on the clear Tsuru River. On the course, you will feel the moderate current with your whole body and clear the small waterfalls and rapids with your own strength. You can also enjoy the history, culture, and nature of Misato Town, such as the stone bridges and waterfalls built in the Edo period, and the mysterious space that can only be found on the Tsuru River. After the experience, go to the hot spring changing room in your wetsuit! A bath in the "Samata no Yu" hot spring is included. In addition, a souvenir of Misato Town's new specialty "Ishibashi Sable" is included, making this a very satisfying experience plan. All you need to wear is a swimsuit and a long-sleeved rash guard! We have simplified the preparations to make it easier to participate. Equipment available for rental: Helmet, life jacket, wet boots, long john type wet suit (sleeveless) Experience process: Check-in - changing clothes (30 minutes) Entering the river - leaving the river (70 minutes) Traveling (20 minutes) After the experience, go straight to the hot spring! *This experience is provided with the cooperation of Misato Town Development Corporation and Roadside Station Misato Samata no Yu.

If you arrive by car

From Matsubashi IC, take National Route 218 towards Yamato for about 15 km, then it is about 20 minutes by car. From Mifune IC, take National Route 445 and Route 443 for about 15 km, then it is about 20 minutes by car.

If you arrive by other means of transportation

・Get off at Matsubase Station on the JR Kagoshima Main Line. From the station, take the Kyushu Sanko Bus (Toyo bound) for about 45 minutes. Get off at the "Samata no Yu" bus stop and it is a short walk away. (If taking a taxi, it is about 30 minutes.)・From Sakuramachi Bus Terminal, take the Kumamoto Bus (Toyo bound via Kosa) for about 1 hour. Get off at the "Samata no Yu" bus stop and it is a short walk away.
