Said to be one of the three most violent rivers in Japan, it is also known as "Bando Taro". Minakami Town, located at the northernmost tip of Gunma Prefecture, is an area blessed with nature surrounded by rich water sources such as the Tone River and mountains such as Mt. Tanigawa, one of Japan's 100 Famous Mountains. It is an outdoor sacred place that can be reached in about an hour and a half from the city center using the expressway or Shinkansen! Rafting is ideal for groups of friends and couples. Since it is the largest scale in Japan, educated, kind and polite staff with big smiles will guide you. In spring, the snow on Mt. Tanigawa begins to melt. Therefore, from Golden Week to the end of June, the amount of water is very high, making it a perfect rafting season! The force of the approaching torrents and big waves is incredible.

All instructors are certified! Hospitality for a safe and secure rafting tour

Our company has SRT-1 (Swiftwater Rescue Technician-1) instructors and Rescue Japan instructors, who regularly conduct training. In addition, all guides hold some first aid qualifications such as MFA (medic first aid), Japanese Red Cross Society, firefighting general lifesaving course, etc. All guides have undergone water rescue training.

About event termination	Rafting tours are also water sports and are basically conducted even in rainy weather. However, if the amount of water suddenly increases due to a typhoon or heavy rain, and it is dangerous, the tour may be canceled depending on the conditions of the river. Tour decision will be made around 18:00 on the evening of the day before the tour by the local staff while looking at the river conditions. In the case of cancellation, we will promptly contact the representative from our company, and we will refund the full amount of the fee or change the schedule.

Challenge Kanto's largest torrent! From the start to the finish, you will board a rubber boat through a vast natural ravine, and everyone will work together as a team to overcome this thrilling and thrilling course. World-class torrents await in the spring, and in the summer the amount of water even children can enjoy. Not only can you go down the torrent in a rubber boat, but when the water is calm, you can enjoy jumping from the top of the rocks and swimming in the river.

Diving and various games On the way down, there is also a rocky place and jumping (free participation). I'm a little nervous, but it's exhilarating after jumping in. Let's swim a lot at the swimming points on the way (free participation). Even people who can't swim are safe because they float with life jackets♪

Lots of photos! There is always one instructor on the boat, and the instructor will take pictures for each boat! There are plenty of pictures and contents of powerful pictures in torrents, diving, and swimming points! The photos taken are sold as data for 2000 yen!

Time schedule

Meet at Minakami base Minakami base has a free pick-up service (reservation required) from the nearest station. If you come by car, it is 1 km from Minakami IC, about 2 minutes by car. Please use the free parking lot on the premises. The changing rooms are equipped with coin lockers and air conditioning.

Start changing clothes! We start accepting customers from before the meeting time. After completing the paperwork, please change into a clean and air-conditioned changing room. After changing clothes, put on a life jacket and a helmet.

Transfer to river, safety briefing Get on the bus and start moving to the start! Let's raise the tension with friends! When you arrive at the river, the staff will give you a safety briefing. (There may be a safety explanation at the meeting place before moving)

Let's practice rowing on a boat! After a safety briefing, we immediately boarded the boat. It's the moment when the tension rises ♪ First, from practicing rowing. Big Smile's gentle and friendly guide will guide you kindly and carefully!

Challenge the torrent! After practicing rowing, we will start going down the river. It takes about an hour and a half to go down the 5 km course. Come on! Enjoy Kanto's largest torrent!
