Walk through the forests around Senjogahara. You may even see animal footprints on the snow♪ With a guide, you can feel at ease even if it's your first time in the winter forest. (Note) If there is snow, snowshoes will be used, but in early January and late February, snowshoes may not be used. Dress code - Must bring items	[1. Clothes] Warm clothing (moisture-wicking, quick-drying, heat-retaining clothing), thin fleece or light down jacket, rainwear (separate top and bottom), spats, sunglasses, hats (knit caps are best), gloves, Neck warmers, shoes (waterproof, cold-proof, with hard insteps; snow boots or winter mountaineering shoes.) Snow boots can be rented, but the size and quantity are limited. If you have your own snow boots or hiking shoes, please bring them. The temperature in Oku-Nikko is about 10℃ lower than in the flatlands. Also, when the wind blows, the perceived temperature drops rapidly. Please take sufficient measures against the cold. [2. Things to bring] Snacks, drinks *PET bottles may freeze, so a water bottle is recommended. Snacks such as rice balls and other foods with a high water content are not recommended as they may freeze.

If you arrive by car

From Tohoku Expressway Utsunomiya IC, take Nikko Utsunomiya Road (car-only road) and get off at Kiyotaki IC. About 30 minutes on National Route 120 towards Nikko Yumoto Onsen.

If you arrive by train

Take the bus bound for Yumoto Onsen from JR Nikko Station or Tobu Line Tobu Nikko Station. Get off at “Takigami” bus stop.
