[★Outline] We aim for Lake Karikomi, located further inside Oku-Nikko Yumoto Onsen. The difference in altitude is about 200m. After passing through the moss corridor, the lake comes into view beyond the forest. Refresh yourself with the cool air drifting from the rock face of the mountain! This is recommended for those who have already walked the major routes of Senjogahara and Odashirogahara, and who want to enjoy Oku-Nikko even more. You can encounter wild birds and plants that are different from those in Senjogahara and Odashirogahara. [★Distance] Approximately 6km (Yumoto Onsen ⇔ Lake Karikomi round trip) [★Schedule (Itinerary)] 09:30 Meet in front of Nikko Yumoto Visitor Center 11:00 Arrive at Lake Karikomi Lunch 14:00 Arrive in front of Nikko Yumoto Visitor Center/Disband *Please bring your own lunch.

If you arrive by car

Take the Tohoku Expressway Utsunomiya IC, then take the Nikko Utsunomiya Road to Kiyotaki IC. Then take National Route 120 for about 40 minutes to Yumoto Onsen.

If you arrive by train

Take the bus bound for Yumoto Onsen from JR or Tobu Nikko Station. Travel time: about 1 hour 25 minutes
