Row down the Mogami River with your own power! Experience an adventure in a packraft downriver with the support of a guide. Packrafting is a new outdoor sport where you row a single-seater boat like a canoe or kayak. You row down a natural river under your own control in a highly stable boat made of the same strong material as a rafting boat. It may flip over, but since the number of participants is small, the guide will follow and support you as you go down. You will receive a safety briefing and a lecture on how to operate the boat on land in advance, and you will start practicing in a place with a gentle current, so even beginners can participate. Each tour is held with a maximum of six people, and two guides will accompany you to give lectures and support. ☆Rustica's packraft tour uses the Mogami River in Yamagata, Tohoku, which shows different aspects in each season. The way you enjoy it also changes depending on the weather, time of year, and water level. ☆Rustica's packraft tour is an all-inclusive price! You will row your own packraft through the middle and upper reaches of the Mogami River, the most famous river in Yamagata Prefecture, which is one of Japan's three major rapids and was written about in a poem by Matsuo Basho! Enjoy active rowing while feeling nature in the idyllic scenery overlooking the Asahi Mountain Range and Mt. Gassan.
We will provide you with photo data for free. Please take home your memories as they are. In addition, all participants of the tour will receive a free ticket to the onsen bathing facility "Ringo Onsen" located 30 seconds on foot. Please return home feeling refreshed and warmed.
We will lend you all the specialized equipment you need for your packraft experience! Not only a life jacket (PFD), helmet, and paddle, but also water shoes and, depending on the temperature, a wet suit. Basically, you can easily participate with just a swimsuit or other clothes that you don't mind getting wet, and a towel.

Full rental equipment In addition to specialized equipment for safety measures, we have a full range of rental equipment so that you can comfortably play in the water from the end of April to the end of October when the snow melts! Of course, rental is included in the price, so there is no additional charge! All you need is a swimsuit and towel, and you can feel free to join us!

Rustica is a member of the Rafting Association and adheres to the safety regulations set out in the Association's guidelines. All of Rustica's guides are certified river guides by the Rafting Association, and uncertified guides will not guide. All guides have taken first aid courses such as standard lifesaving, MFA, and WFA. Many of our guides have taken Rescue 3 Swiftwater Rescue Technician and other qualifications for rescue in flowing waters. We strive to make our tours safer through daily meetings, course inspections, maintenance, and guide training. We do our utmost to ensure a safe tour, but in the unlikely event of an accident, we are covered by "injury insurance" and "liability insurance" in the "canoe/rafting" category for all tours in order to be responsible to our customers.
