Iwai Confectionery is located in Uji, an area famous for Uji tea, and has a history of making Kyoto candy for around 60 years.
Iwai Seika's Kyo-ame candies are made in the candy factory in Uji, in small batches, in traditional earthenware pots, carefully simmered over an open flame, and made with the utmost care and skill.
