Yonezawa Kobo is a Machiya workshop in Nishijin, Kyoto, which handles one-day ceramic art experience, ceramic art classes, and ceramic art production and sales. Kyoto Nishijin is known for its gorgeous Nishijin weaving. You can still hear the sound of a rhythmic loom from the quiet appearance of an old Kyomachiya. The house called "Oriyaken", which was created to house the huge loom, is a townhouse suitable for a workshop, with the front being an ordinary townhouse and the back room being a work place with a stairwell and a work-house integration. Yonezawa Kobo moved to this place where the scent of the old city remains from Higashiyama Gojo, the home of Kiyomizu ware in 2000.
せっかくの京都観光が雨予報の為、2人で思い出になる体験として予約させて頂き参加しました。落ち着いた雰囲気で作品を作らせて頂けて、私は初めてで分からない事が多かったのですが、とても親切にサポートして頂き良い作品ができ満足です。彼もスタッフさんがとてもお上手でサポートがあったから綺麗に出来たと喜んでいました！ぜひ、雨の日のお出かけに。

A student of Shimizu ware, Kyoto Higashiyama Gojo, went to the pottery road after graduating from university. In 2000 Year he established a workshop in the Nishijin area, where the oldest streets of Kyoto remain, and started living in Kyomachiya.
