小学生の息子が茶道に興味を持ったので、せっかくなら本格的な茶室のあるところで体験してみようと思い申し込みました。茶道の成り立ち、抹茶の製造方法、そしてお茶席での流れを丁寧に解説しながら参加させて頂き、大満足でした。和菓子と薄茶もびっくりする位美味しかったです。 The host will take you through the full process of a tea ceremony, in an authentic tea room. Even though there might be a language barrier, you can still enjoy the beauty of your surroundings, and the tasty matcha and sweets. I participated with my 11 yr old, and it's a great cultural experience for kids too.

A matcha experience where you can enjoy matcha and sweets produced in Kagoshima Prefecture. It is a casual style with seating at a table and chairs, and is recommended for those who want to be able to make matcha at home. The instructor will explain how to make matcha, the types of tools and how to use them, and basic hospitality. After enjoying the matcha made by the instructor, you can try making it yourself. The workshop will be conducted in Japanese, but assistants who speak English or German can be provided. Please contact us for other languages. The venue is a private room in a Japanese restaurant, a 5-minute walk from Kagoshima Chuo Station.
