The walking area is a deep snow area, so you can wear special equipment (snowshoes) and enjoy the snow scenery while walking on the fresh snow. * Echigo Yuzawa is below freezing in winter, so it may be difficult to take pictures with ordinary camera equipment in such a harsh environment. Professional photographers will use professional equipment to take the best photos. [About the course] The course starts from Little Japan ECHIGO and goes around the foot of Higashitani Mountain. Since you will walk while looking at the scenery and taking photos, the total time for the experience is about 1 hour. It is a course that even beginners can enjoy. * Courses can be flexibly adapted to the customer's level. [About snowshoes] If you walk on fluffy new snow in regular shoes, you will sink, but by wearing snowshoes, you can walk on the snow without sinking, and you can explore the snowy scenery that is usually not easy to reach. Many people are surprised that general snowshoe tours are more physically taxing than they expected, so we thought, "Can we have a more casual and easy way to experience a snowy forest?" From that point of view, we developed a plan that does not involve climbing, is not physically taxing, feels like a walk, and is a short plan to "experience a real snowy forest" (I know that sounds a bit exaggerated, lol). The time is quite leisurely and can be completed within 1.5 hours (adults who walk fast can finish in about an hour). Although it is a walk-like time and distance, you will experience a real and authentic forest. You can enjoy a short time of trekking in a real forest while taking photos. *Please note* Since you will be walking in snow, please wear shoes that can walk in snow. (You can't walk in snow in normal shoes) I think the easiest way to move around is to wear ski wear and rubber boots (please see the participants' photos). Rubber boots that don't make your toes cold (you can wear them as is, but it will be more comfortable if you put in warm insoles, even simple ones sold at 100 yen stores. It is also better if the boots are long so that snow doesn't get in. If the snow is quite deep, we will rent snowshoes for free, so I think it would be best to participate in snow boots or rubber boots.) Also, if you have your own snowshoes or poles, it will be "even" more comfortable if you bring them. (Of course, it's okay if you don't)

I will be returning by the first bullet train in the afternoon, so it is only available in the morning. However, I would like to wear snowshoes and go out for a walk in the winter forest! It is a half-day snowshoe experience tour that meets such requests. A mountaineering guide certified by the Japan Mountain Guide Association will guide you through the winter forest in a fun and safe way. In the two-hour experience course, you extend your foot to the Hope Lake at the foot of the Madarao Plateau, and go around the lake through the lakeside forest. Based at Takamine Mountain Park (ski resort), you will cruise the grounds on a snowmobile♪ After that, you will enjoy snowshoeing in the silvery white world at an altitude of 2000m with staff who are knowledgeable about nature and mountains. More than half of the course is traveled by snowmobile, so it is a course where you can enjoy a leisurely snowshoe hike. Only at Takamine Mountain Park can you enjoy snowmobiles and snowshoes at the same time! If you would like to rent snowwear and snow boots, please let us know your height and shoe size when you apply.
