Just a short walk from our Dancing Snow office, you'll find stunning nature. Climb, descend, snowshoes and enjoy access to pristine forests. Anyone from small children can easily do it ♪ (Please prepare snow boots and boots.) We will take a walk in a safe forest that will be fun for all customers. You can also take a walk on walking skis (skis and boots can be rented), so please feel free to contact us. At noon, we will make a snow table and enjoy a warm lunch together♪ Usually, it is a hot sandwich, but we can change the menu as necessary, such as cheese fondue (we will also prepare wine).

Why not go and discover the lost history of this town that flourished as a post town on the road during the Edo period? Kyohei Tamura, our guide for this Snow Country Retreat, majored in history in college and is a big fan of the Sengoku period. He fell in love with the history of the Mimata region. Although it is not famous, there are anecdotes that allow you to feel the breath of the people of the Edo period, and stories of the head of a family that lived in the village from its early days and continued to protect the oldest wakihonjin that still exists on the Mikuni Kaido road. Let's trace the history together, which is full of emotion that cannot be conveyed by words alone. Nowadays, the area is famous for its ski resorts, but the lives of the people who have been living here since the Edo period are the backbone of how it got to where it is today. There are things that become clear when you focus on the lives of the people who lived and continued to live strong lives despite being tossed about by the flow of history. It's not just skiing, but you can feel the charm of this mountain village. Although it is a "history retreat," no specialized knowledge is required. In the one-hour experience, you can go around the Madarao Kogen area at the start of the hotel premises. In the two-hour experience course, you extend your foot to the Hope Lake at the foot of the Madarao Plateau, and go around the lake through the lakeside forest. You can also experience walking on the snow that has accumulated on the lake (walking on the lake, as soon as the snowfall is stable, Jan.). * If you wish to have a 2 hour course (Lake of your choice), please answer in the question column to the reservation person. You can enjoy "Koshi Kogen Ski Resort" in Yamakoshi, Niigata Prefecture for private use. Complete with beginner's courses, intermediate and advanced courses. Snowboarding is also allowed! The view from the top is amazing. It is safe for people who want to take a leisurely ride, beginners, and people with children. For lunch, we will prepare a ``Yamakoshi Bento'' packed with Yamakoshi food. For those who wish, we will also introduce you to the ``Amayachi-no-Yu'' large public bath, which is rich in minerals. It will soothe your mind and body after having a good time. ~Procedure of the experience~ 8:00 Private slopes open to the public Koshi Kogen Ski Resort will be open to the public.
