This is a day trip plan to enjoy skiing and snowboarding at Kandatsu Snow Resort by riding the Joetsu Shinkansen. After receiving your Shinkansen ticket and travel guide from the staff at the meeting place, Tokyo Station, you can start your trip freely. The Joetsu Shinkansen is comfortable and punctual, so you will arrive at Echigo Yuzawa Station in the snow country in just over an hour. After a lot of skiing, you can board the Shinkansen at your preferred time and arrive at Tokyo Station in just over an hour, so you can enjoy dinner in Tokyo! ~ Flow of the day ~ ① 8:10 Meeting: Near the ticket gate at Yaesu North Exit of Tokyo Station A staff member holding a Japan Burari Trip flag will be waiting for you. You will be given your Shinkansen ticket and guide and will be given a brief explanation. ② Please board the Joetsu Shinkansen. This is a plan for unreserved seats. Please board the Shinkansen at your preferred time. To secure a seat, we recommend that you go to the departure platform early and line up. ③ Arrive at Echigo Yuzawa Station. Take the free shuttle bus to Kandatsu Snow Resort. A bus bound for Kandatsu Snow Resort leaves from the east exit of Echigo Yuzawa Station. (It takes about 15 minutes to get there) ④ Present the electronic coupon at "GROUND BASE" to receive your lift ticket and rental service. Present the electronic coupon obtained by the QR code given to you at the time of departure to exchange for your lift ticket and receive rental service. ⑤ Enjoy skiing and snowboarding. Enjoy the vast slopes to your heart's content! ⑥ Take the free shuttle bus to Echigo Yuzawa Station. Return to Echigo Yuzawa Station by shuttle bus in the same way as on the way there. Don't miss out on the fun of Echigo Yuzawa Station as a souvenir spot! ⑦ Take the Joetsu Shinkansen to Tokyo at your preferred time. You'll be in Tokyo in just over an hour. Dinner in Tokyo! That's also possible.
During this time of year, the Joetsu Shinkansen operates two to four trains per hour in the morning and evening. If you are in a non-reserved seat car, you can board at any time. This is a very convenient plan because you can decide your schedule at the time, whether you want to enjoy lots of snow or return to Tokyo early.
