Smelt fishing that feels like a fishing pond near Ishikari Bay New Port, which is close to Sapporo city. The Ishikari Discharge Channel, a shortcut that connects the Ibarato River to Ishikari Bay, is a hidden spot for smelt fishing. The seawall is well maintained and you can enjoy it as if you were at a fishing pond.
