Try your hand at making an authentic parquet keychain by cutting and gluing parquet blocks that make use of the natural wood color! Wood comes in a variety of colors, from brown, red, yellow, and even purple. The parquet block bars that form the basis of parquet work are made in advance by instructor Matsuura. You cut them with a craftsman's saw and combine them to make hearts, leaves, and any other shape you like. Once firmly glued together, polish them with sandpaper and finish with oil to complete the piece. Instructor Matsuura of Studio Kaede is a talented artist who won the top prize at the Dobi Exhibition in 2019. He will kindly teach even beginners the authentic craftsmanship!

Not satisfied with ordinary calligraphy paper, he runs around freely on the large calligraphy paper with a large brush held in both hands, and the characters he creates with his whole body are soon becoming a specialty of Naganuma Town. He also performs at Naganuma Town's summer festival and sunset market, and sometimes collaborates with local musicians. This program was created not only to show people this fun, but also to let them experience it. Participants are first surprised by the weight of the brush filled with ink, and are very satisfied with the characters they write with all their heart, sweating.
