This is a hands-on experience of making a traditional Japanese dish with a long history. Oshino Hakkai is a tourist destination with eight ponds fed by spring water from Mt. Fuji. The spring-fed ponds are highly transparent and have been selected as one of Japan's 100 famous springs, making Oshino Hakkai a popular spot for delicious soba noodles. While soba noodle-making experiences are available throughout Japan, this is the only place where you can enjoy soba noodles made with Mt. Fuji's spring water. Anyone can easily make Oshino Hakkai soba. This experience is suitable for beginners, including those with limited cooking experience, small children, and those who have never made soba before. Really enjoyed the soba making class, the instructions were shown to me visually. My sensei tried her best to explain in English which I appreciated as well as teach Japanese words. At the end I managed to eat my soba according to my taste. It was presented as cold dipping noodles. Enjoyed the session, my sensei was lovely and will come again! Good for solo travellers.

It is an unusual type of udon that is characterized by its hard and chewy noodles and toppings such as horse meat and cabbage. It has also been selected as one of the ``Top 100 Local Dishes from Rural Areas, Mountains, and Fishing Villages,'' selected from among the local flavors of each region. Yoshida's udon noodles are characterized by thick and chewy noodles, toppings made with horse meat and cabbage, and a soup made with miso and soy sauce. This is the only place in Japan where you can eat it with a spiciness called suridane. Yoshida's udon was originally a home-cooked dish, so each restaurant has its own characteristics. For example, some restaurants use beef or horse meat, and the sides vary in hardness and length. Although there are general rules, there are no clear rules, so the freedom of making them may also be a characteristic of Yoshida's udon. In this plan, customers will make udon noodles from powder. 台風状況などで行程を決めかねる部分があったのですが、柔軟に対応いただけたおかげで不安が薄れました。 ほうとう作り体験では、要所要所でうまくフォローいただけたおかげで無事美味しくいただけました。 とり天を子供用にカットしたくてハサミをお借りできたり、食べきれなかった分を自己責任ですが持ち帰る容器をいただけたりしたので、とても助かりました。 0.5だけ減らしたのは、1組だけで体験していたからか?、体験中の写真を撮影して貰えていた参加者もいたようだったので、手が粉で汚れていて自分では撮れなかった写真が平等に撮っていただけたらより嬉しかったという点と、 キャンセル料の発生が宿や他アクティビティより断トツ早くて、台風発生で安全面を考慮し旅行の催行を迷った際の一番のネックだった(これだけキャンセル料がかかるので)点が少し残念だったからなのですが、総じてとても楽しめました。ありがとうございました!

We also offer photo weddings, where a professional photographer will take photos at Lake Kawaguchi or Lake Yamanaka with Mt. Fuji in the background.
