Gold leaf experience to put gold leaf on a plate and finish it as a gorgeous work. It is popular with those who want to take home their works on the same day and those who want to apply real gold leaf. The plates were handmade by the teachers. Draw a pattern with an adhesive on the do Togeikan original plate (approximately 16 cm in diameter), and then apply gold leaf on top. The gold leaf is authentic and imported from Kanazawa. Enjoy successive Isokichi works with luxurious commentary! Ikichi Fukaka Pottery Kiln is located in Yawata, where kilns for making figurines are concentrated. It has roots that the first generation was a pottery specializing in ceramics, and even now, we are doing everything from creating the ceramics to painting. This program is a studio tour in which Ms. Ikika Asakura, the daughter of Mr. Isokichi Asakura, the fourth generation, explains the studio, gallery, and works. Try your hand at making an authentic parquet keychain by cutting and gluing parquet blocks that make use of the natural wood color! Wood comes in a variety of colors, from brown, red, yellow, and even purple. The parquet block bars that form the basis of parquet work are made in advance by instructor Matsuura. You cut them with a craftsman's saw and combine them to make hearts, leaves, and any other shape you like. Head further east on Route 210, turn right at Makimachi, go through the Tsurube Tunnel and head to Tsurube Satoyama. Experience the local treasure "Rice Field Dyeing" that has been passed down in the Tsurube village where the legend of Kagekiyo remains. Dye your own original pattern using the tie-dye technique. The history of this rice field dyeing is recorded as "Kaga Black Dyeing" during the feudal period. Harvest the Akamekashiwa and Yamaurushi plants that grow wild in Tsurube, and soak the cloth in the boiled dye liquid for several tens of minutes.
