This trekking tour covers all of the Shiretoko Five Lakes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a special protected area of Shiretoko National Park, including the elevated boardwalk. This is the first groundbreaking forest adventure experience in Japan, where licensed guides guide you through areas where brown bears live. You can observe not only the lakes, but also the seasonal changes in nature, such as Ezo deer, Ezo red foxes, wild birds, alpine plants, and autumn leaves. Since the animals are not fed, all the creatures you encounter are real wild animals. Roads and trails may be closed due to brown bears, snowfall, storms, etc. If we know of a closure in advance, we will contact you by mobile device and offer you cancellation (free of charge) or alternative courses (same price), or alternative dates and times, if you wish. Even during busy periods such as summer vacation and autumn holidays, you can experience the tranquility of Shiretoko here. This course passes through old development sites and forests to see the groundwater waterfalls that flow into the Sea of Okhotsk. On clear days, you can see the 200m high cliffs that stretch all the way to Cape Shiretoko. Like "Furepe Falls," this is a course to see cliff waterfalls, but this one is a bit wilder, with no walking trails and requiring climbing over logs. This is a 2km walk to see the unusual "Furepe Falls", a waterfall that falls directly into the sea from a cliff gap. On clear days, the Shiretoko mountain range is beautiful here.
