The scenery is especially precious during the autumn foliage season. [Jozankei] Jozankei is a resort rich in nature and close to nature. The Toyohira River that flows through Jozan Valley is also a famous spot for autumn foliage, and has a beautiful natural environment, making it one of the most well-known in Hokkaido. From the red suspension bridge over the Toyohira River, you can enjoy the "Futami Rock" and "Kappa Deep," which are the setting for the kappa legend. [Lake Toya] Lake Toya is an ice-free lake in the frigid zone, and you can see the clear lake all year round. Cherry blossoms bloom on the lakeside in spring, fireworks are launched at night in summer, and the forest is colored in autumn. [Showa Shinzan] Showa Shinzan is a volcano that erupted from December 1943 to September 1945. Even during busy periods such as summer vacation and autumn holidays, you can experience the tranquility of Shiretoko here. This course passes through old development sites and forests to see the groundwater waterfalls that flow into the Sea of Okhotsk. On clear days, you can see the 200m high cliffs that stretch all the way to Cape Shiretoko. Like "Furepe Falls," this is a course to see cliff waterfalls, but this one is a bit wilder, with no walking trails and requiring climbing over logs.
