I made the Wagashi treats with my two primary-aged school children. Our guide did not know much English but slowly and clearly demonstrated what we needed to do. My kids and I loved the experience and would definitely recommend. This is especially good as a rainy day activity and is very cheap!

何組か並行して体験が行われていたのですが、人数が多いテーブルには何度も教えに行っているのにこちらが指示通りのところまで進めて待っていても全く来てくださらなかったです。 後から来た2人組の方たちの方は、付きっきりで和菓子作りもお茶を立てる体験もしていて進行スピードも早く何の差なんだろうと思いました。こちらがやっとお茶を立て始めたタイミングで、全然遅く来た2人組は和菓子を作り終えていました。 お茶を立てる際もほとんど何の指示もなく、これでお茶を立ててくださいと道具だけ渡されいなくなってしまいました。 体験した時間が悪かったのか、ずっとバタバタ片付けをして放置される時間の方が長く、楽しみにしていただけにとても残念でした。

"Otofu" is one of Kyoto's representative ingredients. We will make soy milk and okara, and make everything from "Oboro tofu" to "Momen tofu". the experience or activity is very pleasant..there were only 2 of us..so that made our trip more fun as the instructor concentrated with us and even took vids and pics which was a plus..all the dishes we made were so good especiallt the mochi type ...both hostess was very nice ladies , just beware.. when you go there like us , diy , its like a hike..because you are gonna go up by the mountain thus having lots of upward hill..but nevertheless..the views of the green tea plantation and being on top was very serene and the town is very quiet
