Higashiyama Archery Training Center is an indoor archery practice facility, a half-archery dojo. It uses a quarter-bow, which is about two-thirds the size of the large bow used in Kyudo, and is based on the basic principle that "the target is the enemy," and is an archery technique that focuses solely on hitting the target with accuracy. The archery experience at our dojo is open to a wide range of people, from children to the elderly, regardless of age or nationality. Please feel free to stop by when you are in Higashiyama, Kyoto.

I'm interested in Kyudo. But I feel that archery (Kyudo, Yabusame) is too difficult to do all at once. I'd like to try shooting a bow for now. I've tried shooting at other archery ranges, but I can't hit the target. I want to get a little better. For those of you who feel this way, we will teach you the principles of the bow, how to aim, tips for hitting the target, how to shoot, and other basic techniques according to your purpose, whether you want to start shooting at a shihan-teki or want to shoot a o-yumi in the future. It uses a shorter and weaker bow than Kyudo, so even beginners can enjoy it, but it is deep and even serious archers will be satisfied as you can aim at targets at the official distance of shihan-teki competitions.

A traditional event that has been going on for over 800 years in Takeo City. You can have a simulated experience at Takeo Shrine Yabusame approach.
