The wreck that sank off Atami is the masonry ship "Asahi 16" that sank about 30 years ago. It is a large wreck weighing 5,000 tons. It folds in two when it sinks, separating the first half and the second half. Soft coral (coral without skeleton) is attached for about 30 years, and various fish live in it. Please enjoy the "wreck dive" in the highly transparent sea!
