Plan description

This is an AM introductory diving course for people aged 60 and over. Both diving and snorkeling are activities that anyone can participate in as long as they are healthy and motivated. We operate in small groups of up to two guests per instructor. Depending on the guest's condition, we may also offer one-on-one instruction with one guest per instructor. Schedule for the day: 8:00 AM (meet at 7:50 AM) Fill out registration form, medical history and medical certificate, self-health check, and rental equipment sizing. 8:45 AM Departure from Ishigakijima Port. Explains the vessel, navigation precautions, course precautions, and schedule. Departure begins at 9:30 AM. Familiarize yourself with the water and equipment, learning to breathe. Explains the snorkeling mask, snorkel, wetsuit, fins, and more, with demonstrations. An instructor with a life jacket will snorkel with you. You must wear a buoyancy device (wetsuit). 10:00 AM Break. Explains diving. Explains breathing, ear clearing, communication, movement, mask clearing, regulator recovery, hand signals, and how to deal with problems. 10:20 AM Introductory dive with guide. 12:00 PM Return to Ishigakijima Port. Disband and return to accommodation. *We do not accept reservations for participants with the following weight criteria: 80 kg or over. BMI criteria: BMI of 30 or over. Diver Medical/Participant Checklist If you have a BMI of 35 or higher, we will decline your reservation. If you have an unhealthy blood pressure of 150mmHg due to high blood pressure, we will decline your reservation.

Submitting a medical history certificate

With 25 years of instructor experience, our staff of over 10,000 people will be on hand to guide you through introductory diving and snorkeling.

Matters require attention Please leave the selection of dive sites and judgment of sea conditions to us. Dive sites will be decided based on your request, taking into account wind direction, wave height, tides, forecast, current sea conditions, your diving skills, your diving equipment, the courses you have taken, and the skills of our staff. Diving is an activity that involves nature, the ocean. Sudden changes in sea conditions can occur. We may not be able to dive at your desired dive site or may have to cancel the trip. Due to the pressure on board aircraft, flying on the day of or within 18 hours of diving is medically prohibited. Regarding loss or damage to rental equipment, we will charge you an appropriate fee in the event of loss or damage. Please refrain from taking photos on board the vessel or posting them on social media without permission from other customers or staff.
Other notifications Diving and Health Management [Important Notes] 1. Unfortunately, I have a medical history or illness that prevents me from diving safely. Before participating, please read the Diver Medical/Participant Checklist and make sure all participants check that none of the items apply to you, then fill it out and submit it (10 items in total). 2. If you have any of the items on the Diver Medical/Participant Checklist below (10 items in total), you will need a "Doctor's Certificate." (If you meet the applicable criteria but do not have a doctor's certificate, you will not be able to participate in the course.) This will be considered a cancellation on the day of the course and a 100% cancellation fee will be charged. 3. There must be no restrictions or conditions specified by the doctor. 4. The written permission from the doctor is valid for one year. 5. The doctor signing the written permission must not be the client themselves. 6. If the child is under 20 years old, both the parent/guardian and the child must sign the necessary documents. 7. If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, you will not be able to participate. 8. Located inside the Yashima Ferry Terminal. Guests arriving by car will be guided to the free parking lot. Pick-up service available within Ishigaki city. *Staff holding a Yaeyama Diving Service Field sign will be waiting for you. After meeting up, we will guide you to the free parking lot.
