Plan description

This 4-5 hour AM introductory diving course is aimed at people 65 years of age and older, but even those 60 years of age and older who have been turned down by other diving diving courses can also participate. Anyone can participate in both diving and snorkeling as long as they are healthy and motivated. Both diving and snorkeling are conducted in small groups of up to two customers per instructor. Depending on the customer's condition, we may provide one-on-one instruction with one instructor and one customer. Schedule for the day: 8:00 AM - Gather at the Yaeyama Diving Service Field. Please arrive 10 minutes before the course begins. We will contact you the evening before to confirm. Please let us know if you require transportation. 8:10am - Registration: Fill out application form, medical history and medical certificate confirmation, health self-check for the day, and rental equipment sizing. 8:45am - Departure from Ishigakijima Port: After an explanation of the vessel to be used, navigation precautions, course precautions, and schedule, depart from Ishigakijima. 9:30am - Getting used to the water and equipment, getting used to breathing. Snorkeling: An instructor with a life ring will snorkel with you. You must wear a buoyancy device (wetsuit). 10:00am - Break, then an explanation of diving. Explanation of breathing, ear clearing, communication, movement, mask clearing, and regulator recovery. 10:20am - Enjoy the underwater world with your trial dive. 12:00pm - Return to Ishigakijima Port: Disband and we will take you to your accommodation. *Weight: 80kg or more. We cannot accept reservations. BMI: 30 or more. Diver Medical/Participant Checklist: BMI 35 or more. We are refusing to accept your reservation. Unnormal blood pressure of 150mmHg due to high blood pressure. We are refusing to accept your reservation.

Submitting a medical history certificate

With 25 years of instructor experience, our staff of over 10,000 people will be on hand to guide you through introductory diving and snorkeling.

Dive sites will be decided based on your request, taking into account wind direction, wave height, tides, forecast, current sea conditions, your diving skills, your diving equipment, the courses you have taken, and the skills of our staff. Diving is an activity that involves nature, the ocean. Sudden changes in sea conditions can occur. We may not be able to dive at your desired dive site or may have to cancel the trip. Due to the pressure on board aircraft, flying on the day of or within 18 hours of diving is medically prohibited. Regarding loss or damage to rental equipment, we will charge you an appropriate fee in the event of loss or damage. Please refrain from taking photos on board the vessel or posting them on social media without permission from other customers or staff.

Assembly point

Located inside the Yashima Ferry Terminal. Guests arriving by car will be guided to the free parking lot. Pick-up service available within Ishigaki city. *Staff holding a Yaeyama Diving Service Field sign will be waiting for you. After meeting up, we will guide you to the free parking lot.
