Plan description

The sea at night, which is closed for 12 hours a day, offers a completely different underwater world from the daytime. Set sail before sunset and watch the sunset sink into the horizon, and if you're lucky, you may even see a green flash. When you enter the sea at night, you will see the fish that were there during the day? The fish that sleep in unique shapes? Nocturnal creatures such as shrimp and crabs, and if you cover the underwater light and look up with your hand, you will see many bioluminescent plankton! The sparkling lights have never been captured on camera before, and the fantastic sight can only be seen with the naked eye. If the time and tide are right, you can observe the coral spawning scene, and there are many other things to see. You can enjoy exciting snorkeling that touches the mystery of the sea. A guide will take you in a small group and we have a wide range of equipment, so you can enjoy the sea at night with peace of mind. On the way back, we will slowly sail the boat and cruise under the starry sky. Standing in the silence of the night sea, looking up at the sky, you will be moved by the overwhelming brilliance of the stars.

You can observe the ever-changing daily life from on board the boat or from the water surface.

A little different from the daytime course, this cruise will take you from the sunset over the ocean to a starry sky.

Enjoy a 360° view of the starry sky with the Grin Flash Bioluminescence from a boat specially designed for stargazing!

Ishigaki Island is also known as the "Star Island" because it is the most beautiful place in Japan to view the starry sky. All 21 first magnitude stars can be seen, and 84 of the 88 constellations can be seen, as well as the Southern Cross and Milky Way depending on the season, making it the perfect place for stargazing.

~ Flow of the day ~

① Fill out the application form, make payment, check your health, and adjust the size of rental equipment. (15 minutes) ② After explaining the vessels used, precautions when sailing, course precautions, schedule explanation, depart from Ishigaki Island (5 minutes) ③ Depart for the point (10 minutes) ④ Sunset snorkeling (30 minutes) ⑤ Night snorkeling (60 minutes) ⑥ Night cruising (30 minutes) ⑦ Ishigakijima Port arrival / dissolution (20 minutes)

Assembly point

Located inside the Yashima Ferry Terminal. Guests arriving by car will be guided to the free parking lot. Pick-up service available within Ishigaki city. *Staff holding a Yaeyama Diving Service Field sign will be waiting for you. After meeting up, we will guide you to the free parking lot.
