A professional photographer will take your photos after you have rented a yukata and put it on in a small photo studio renovated from a historic old house near Nijo Castle in Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan! We are a photo studio founded in 1932, and Kyoto Salon is one of our many photo stores. We have entrusted the thoughts of many people to photos, and have delivered happy moments to everyone while further evolving our honed photography techniques and hospitality to customers. This time, we would like to help those who come to Kyoto to create wonderful memories by capturing their shining smiles and happy moments.
The photos will be taken by a professional photographer who usually takes photos of weddings, Shichi-Go-San, Coming of Age ceremonies, etc.! The photo shoot in the salon, which was renovated from an old Kyoto house, is sure to become a good memory!
The photo data will be provided to you on the day or the next day. So you can upload it to social media right away. Show off your yukata to everyone!
You can also purchase the entire yukata set (yukata, sandals, etc. +13,200 yen). If you purchase it, you can go home wearing the yukata. We also have cute Japanese goods available. Please make a souvenir from Kyoto!

Plan attractions
Set Please arrive at Storyteller Kyoto Salon (1150-2, Chikaracho, Senbon-dori Marutamachi Sagaru, Kamigyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture) at least 5 minutes before your reservation time.
Yukata selection Please choose your favorite kimono and obi. [10 minutes] If you are unsure, our staff will give you advice on what suits you best. [About 10 minutes]
Dressing Our staff will help you put on the kimono. [About 30 minutes] (No makeup is provided) (For women with long hair, we will do a simple updo)
photography We will take photos in the salon using traditional Japanese umbrellas and other accessories. We will show you several sample photos, so please choose your favorite pose from them. [About 10 minutes]
Change clothes Please return your yukata. (If you want to buy it, you can just go home / fee applies) [About 10 minutes]
Photo data will be provided on the same day or the next day. I will provide you with three photo poses via Google Drive link sharing.
