Atelier Melty 252 offers an experience course where you can enjoy making Japanese food samples more seriously. You can create your own original work while experiencing the food culture unique to Kyoto, and enjoy a special experience in between sightseeing. You can take the completed work home as it is, so it will be a wonderful memory of your trip. If you come to Kita-ku, Kyoto, we strongly recommend that you participate in our experience as a set with Kinkaku-ji Temple or Daitoku-ji Temple! • Duration Approximately 1.5 to 3 hours (including introduction, production, and finishing) It is a content that you can complete in time while having fun between sightseeing. • Target age 9 years old and above (Anyone from children to adults can participate, depending on the content of the course) • Features 1. DIY experience: Experience the fun of making a food sample that looks just like the real thing with your own hands. 2. Travel memories: Take the finished product home on the spot. It will be a special memento of your trip. 3. Fine finishing: A little more difficult than the beginner course, you can try coloring and fine details.
We start with the shaping process using a basic mold. Recommended for those who want to enjoy a more authentic production experience. The results will vary greatly depending on how you communicate.
Since the process involves coloring, you need to have a sense of color, and since there are many steps, it will test your concentration and perseverance.
Please be aware that mistakes in color mixing, time management, and the effects of humidity and temperature may require redoing the work.

Parking is available for visitors to Kinkakuji Temple (Kinkakuji Temple Parking Lot No. 3) (fees apply). Parking is available until 5:00 p.m. Parking: 250 cars, large buses: not allowed
The nearest train stations are Kitano-Hakubaicho Station on the Randen Line and Kitaoji Station on the Karasuma Subway Line. You can head towards Kinkakuji from either station. Most people get off at these two stations and then transfer to a bus to head to Kinkakuji.
Access from Kyoto Station to Kinkakuji Temple: • Take bus 205 from bus stop B3 and get off at Kinkakuji-michi. 5 minutes walk. • Take bus 206 or 6 from bus stop A3 and get off at Senbon Kitaoji. 5 minutes walk.
