Chii Hachiman Shrine

Chii Hachiman Shrine was founded in 1017 and is the center of faith for the residents of Miyama Town with over 1,000 years of history. Chii Hachiman Shrine is also a designated cultural property of Kyoto Prefecture. In winter, the illuminated magic lanterns and snowy scenery are very beautiful!

Amanohashidate Observation Area

Amanohashidate, located in Miyazu Bay on the Sea of Japan, is one of the "Three Scenic Views of Japan" along with Matsushima in Mutsu and Miyajima in Aki. It is a sandbar formed by a sandbar with a total length of about 3.6 km, and about 8,000 pine trees of various sizes are planted on its east and west sides. It was named "Amanohashidate" because it looks like a bridge stretching diagonally into the sky. Arashiyama The Yushan area is a combination of the Sagano area and the surrounding area, which has rich humanities and scenic spots in the area, and has natural scenery that changes with the seasons and ancient small fires. By car, you can concentrate on the famous bamboo forest path between Okochi Mountains and the Okochi Mountains towards Yuno Shrine. It is a place that attracts a lot of tourists in the spring and autumn seasons, and Sagano's small bicycles are very quiet and quiet during the winter and summer months. There are many restaurants and restaurants in the Mishan area, and a Japanese fruit shop is a favorite shopping store.

Miyama Thatched Village
16:30

Miyama Thatched Village Trivia: The biggest difference between "Gassho Village" and "Thatched Houses": The roofs of Gassho Village are thatched on only two sides, but the thatch covering both sides looks like two palms, hence the name "Gassho". The main purpose of this is to prevent snow from staying on the roof in winter. The roofs of thatched houses are covered with thatch on all four sides, which serves to protect against wind and rain, and keep the house warm in winter and cool in summer.
