Plan description

Hello distinguished guests, the following is a reference itinerary for the day (please note that the guide may change the order of the itinerary or shorten the stay time depending on the situation on the day. I hope you understand!) Pre-travel notice: We will send you detailed tour guide and car information by email between 20:00 and 21:00 on the day before the trip. Please be sure to check it in time. Please note that the email may be misclassified into the trash. During the tourist season, the email sending time may be slightly delayed. I hope you understand. If you receive multiple emails due to special circumstances, please refer to the last email. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! Mysterious Kumamoto and Takachiho Journey We will delve deep into the charm of Kumamoto and Takachiho and start a journey full of mystery and natural wonders. First, we will go to Kamiishi-kun Kumano-za, famous for its pilgrimage route decorated with nearly 100 lanterns as if you were lost in a dream world. On the way, there is Kuroto-iwa, which is said to be a huge wind tunnel protruding from Onihachi, a symbol of faith that overcomes difficulties. The shrine's sacred tree, the Nagi, is also an ideal place to make a wish, as it symbolizes matchmaking and business prosperity. Next, head to Amanoiwato Shrine to experience the mystical charm of Japanese mythology. Amanoiwato Shrine is an ancient sacred site dedicated to Amaterasu Omikami. The Tenyasu River within the shrine grounds was originally a popular place to make wishes by piling stones, signifying that wishes would be fulfilled and good fortune would come. In addition to the sacred pilgrimage of worshippers, you can also experience a traditional blessing ceremony. Afterwards, explore Takachiho Gorge, a beautiful valley formed by an ancient volcanic eruption. The cliffs towering on both sides of the valley and the Manai Falls, which give a sense of majestic nature. On the approximately 1 km promenade, you can leisurely stroll through unique scenery such as the "Kihachi Power Stone" and three arch bridges from different eras (Shinbashi Bridge, Showa Bridge, and Shinto Takachiho Bridge). In particular, the 70m-tall Sennin no Byobu Rock has a natural folding screen-like beauty. Each attraction has its own history and natural scenery, allowing you to feel the depth of Japanese culture and the splendor of natural scenery. Whether it's mysterious legends or fascinating natural beauty, this itinerary will bring you an unparalleled travel experience. Japanese is not available on this schedule.

There is a 100-light pilgrimage path, which is crowded with many tourists. The mysterious Kuroto Rock and the sacred tree Nagi create a fantastical atmosphere.

Amanoiwato Shrine is the birthplace of Japanese mythology. Amanoiwato and the Amanayasu River are popular places where you can make a wish and feel the divine energy.

Takachiho Gorge is famous for its sheer cliffs and Manai Falls. From the walking trails you can see beautiful views of oddly shaped rocks and an old arch bridge.
