What's more, the so-called tourist-friendly restaurants are all full, and even at night there are long lines. So, we'll show you restaurants that only locals go to, and eat everything you can about Hakata in one night! You can experience the true charm of the area by eating local ingredients and cuisine, and interacting with the local people. Even if you're not in a tourist spot, you can experience the true joy of traveling by tasting local "food" provided by the locals.
Why not try the local flavors that locals secretly enjoy? We will enjoy bar-hopping at 3-4 bars in one night (2-3 hours), yakitori (chicken skin wrapped around), bite-sized gyoza, food stalls, sesame mackerel, local shochu/sake... We will visit 3-4 bars in the hidden deep area of Haruyoshi and Imaizumi in Fukuoka. We plan to have 2 dishes and 2 drinks at each bar. Fukuoka has a wide variety of original local dishes and a unique food culture, which is the essence of Fukuoka's charm.

Meet at Haruyoshi/Hotel Mystays Tenjin Minami When you think of a pre-party in Hakata, you think of a toast with beer and bite-sized gyoza! Hakata locals eat them with this shop's secret and rare "red yuzu pepper"! This is a traditional gyoza specialty shop with a Showa-era feel. It's the best gyoza I've had in Japan.
Taste Hakata's specialty Torikawa Torikawa, a Hakata specialty, is rolled up into a ball. Enjoy the taste that you won't be able to get addicted to!
Fukuoka's specialty, sesame mackerel...a three-piece platter of swimming mackerel sashimi, seared mackerel sashimi, and sesame mackerel is so tasty it will impress you. We strolled around the side streets of Haruyoshi and headed to a restaurant that focuses on mackerel!
Hakata specialty! Enjoy local chicken sashimi! A Kyushu staple: chicken sashimi. Wash down the chicken sashimi, which is almost only seen in Kyushu, with local sake and shochu!
