Plan description

In the snowy room called "Hon-yara-do," there is a charcoal kotatsu that does not use electricity! You can eat rice cakes and sweets while sitting in the kotatsu. At night, candles are lit in the Hon-yara-do. *Fireworks and hotpots are available as options. *You can grill the "anbo" from the anbo experience on a charcoal grill and eat it. Staff will be able to speak simple English and use a translator. If you are unsure, we can also provide an interpreter (for a fee).

Snow Rich Point “Honyaradou”

``Honyaradou'', hosted by the NPO GGG, is a snow rich point that is registered in the story ``The ultimate snow country and Okamachi - True story! A story of heavy snowfall area -'' of Tokamachi City, which was registered as a Japan Heritage site in 2020.

Charcoal kotatsu

Charcoal is a solid fuel shaped like a square bean and made by mixing charcoal powder. You can experience a kotatsu heated with charcoal without using electricity.

Playing in the snow

Wear old-fashioned snow gear and walk through the snowfields, or have a snowball fight. After playing in the snow, we headed to Honyaradou. Fry mochi on a charcoal stove and enjoy hot drinks. Enjoy an experience that can only be found in snow country!
