From January to April every year, the world's largest mammal, the humpback whale, makes its rounds around the waters near Amami Oshima. The action of a giant body over 10 meters long jumping and slamming its large fins against the water's surface is sure to get you very excited! ! You can see humpback whales, which are over 10 meters long, from the water! ! *Only holders of a diving C card license or higher, freediver licenses or equivalent qualifications, and advanced divers approved by the captain may participate.

(2) Swim in a manner that does not interfere with the target whale's course or natural behavior. (3) In principle, the number of swims in the same group is limited to 6 times with no more than 6 participants at a time. (4) In the case of multiple ships, the number of times and number of participants will be determined by making adjustments among the captains depending on safety and the situation of the target whales. A maximum of two boats may swim in the same group at the same time. (5) Swimming is done by snorkeling at the sea surface; scuba diving is prohibited. (6) Freediving is also prohibited when swimming to mother and calf groups. (7) Eligibility to participate in the swim are those with a diving C card license or higher, those with a freediver license or equivalent qualifications, and advanced swimmers approved by the captain. (8) If the target whales are the same, priority will be given to the watching vessel that is a member of the association.
