We deepen our understanding of Japanese culture through calligraphy. An experienced calligraphy instructor will help you carefully. Foreign guests are very well received. In addition, we can respond to experiences in groups (maximum 24 people) visiting Japan for seminars and Events. You can enjoy it in combination with Yanaka walk. There are also option to print on colored paper, write your name, and print on your T-shirt. Please feel free to Contact us us. About Yanesen area

This facility is located in the old city of Tokyo called "Yanesen" after the names of the three adjacent districts of Yanaka, Nezu, and Sendagi. Time schedule

Explanation of tools such as calligraphy and inkstones and history (5 minutes) I will explain the history and tools such as brushes, calligraphy, and inkstones. Calligraphy is also a culture in which the spirituality of Japan is strongly preserved, as represented by Kukai's words, "Characters were originally created by impressing people's hearts with all things."

Practice with your favorite kanji (20 minutes) Beautiful characters are composed by practicing faithfully to the basics such as "stop", "splash", "harai" and how to hold the brush.

Practice using one or more of your favorite kanji as a model (20 minutes) Practice your favorite kanji based on the basic skills.

Clear copy on colored paper (15 minutes) Make a clean copy on your favorite colored paper. We hope that you will understand the spirituality by learning the basics of calligraphy. You can also write colored paper from a calligrapher.
